How to Design Your Garden!
Riso Magazine (190 × 270 mm)
Editorial Design, Risograph Printing
HKB, 2024
This magazine, inspired by the crowded images found in hardware store catalogues, explores the theme of biodiversity. By using overlays, distortions, and intentionally leaving out margins, it offers an ironic view of the neat Swiss front garden, where nature is shaped into strict forms and diversity is controlled. The magazine contrasts this artificial neatness with a wild, lively design – a layout that breaks its limits through excess and visual chaos. The typography and structure are intentionally too much, turning the usual order into disorder.
